Double Bass Soloist of the Valencia Orchestra in the last 20 years.

He studied double bass with E.Maravella at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid where he graduated, obtaining the highest grades and awards including the “Extraordinary End of Degree” award unanimously. He continues at the Geneva Conservatory (Switzerland) with Franco Petracchi being “Virtuosity Award”. Later he would finish his studies in London with Thomas Martin, acquiring during his training mastery of the German and French bow schools.

 

He obtains places in the Symphonic Orchestras of the Opera Lliceu of Barcelona, and the Valencia Orchestra.

Winner of the Murcia-94 International Double Bass Competition, the “City of Valencia” Interpretation Competition and the permanent JJ.MM Competition of Spain, he develops a soloist activity in Auditoriums and festivals in Spain, Italy, Switzerland and the USA. He premieres the work “Escorzo Grave” by Cesar Cano at the Palau de la Música in Valencia and performs Dragonetti Françaix, Bottesini and Koussevitzky with various orchestras.

 

He has been a full professor at the J.Iturbi Conservatories of Valencia, and Lliria, and guest at various centers such as the Higher Conservatories of Alicante, Valencia, Castellón, La Coruña, and Professional Conservatories of Zaragoza, Jaen, Cartagena, Córdoba, etc. as a collaborating professor with the JORVAL, OJRM, JJ.MM World Orchestra, Curs Internacional de Cullera, Curs de Estiu de L'Eliana, International University of Andalucia, Academia Internacional de Gandia, International School of Music of Lucena, North Texas University. ..

 

He regularly collaborates with Chamber groups such as the Grup Instrumental de Valencia, Camerata XXI, Espai Sonor, Solistas de Valencia.
