He began his studies at the age of 8 with Hugo Valero in Cartagena.

In 2000 she entered the "Reina Sofía Higher School of Music" under the tutelage of the professors Ludwig Streicher, Antonio García Araque and Rainer Zepperitz, where he was appointed "Outstanding Student" in 2003.

He received a scholarship from Juventudes Musicales de Madrid, Fundación Ibercaja, AIE and the Ministry of Culture, he completes his training in Berlin, at the "Hanns Eisler" higher music school with Esko Laine (Berlin Philharmonic).

He had early orchestral experience, being the first double bass and helping soloist in groups such as "Jeneusses Musicales World Orchestra", "West Eastern Divan" (Daniel Barenboim), and the "Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra" (Claudio Abbado, Herbert Blomstedt). Already in Berlin, Yepes wins academic position in the "Konzerthausorchester Berlin" and DSO (Deutsches Symphonie-orchester).

He debuted as a soloist at the age of 14 (Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia), performing since then with both national and international training, highlighting the Mahler Academy in Bolzano (Italy), the Andrés Segovia orchestra, the Sinfonietta Linz (Austria), and the Orchestra of Chamber of Andorra.

He performed with great success the absolute premiere of the Serenade for Double Bass Solo Op. 84 (Miguel Franco, 2006), as well as the Jazz Suite for Double Bass and Piano (Salvador Martinez, 2010) and "Joyful Walk", by J. L. Lopez Garcia (2010); works that have also been dedicated to him. As a studio musician, he records for SONY the Rossini Duo for Cello and Double Bass, along with Pavel Gomziakov.

He performs and prepares chamber music together with teachers such as Massimo Pollidori, Bernhard Hartog, Gerhard Schulz, Wolfram Christ, Tabea Zimmerman, Rainer Schmidt, among others. Since 2008 he has been part of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev in the present.

As a sought-after teacher, it is worth highlighting the pedagogical work carried out in different Master Class for the European continent (Bavarian Bass Days, Bavaria), Masterclass la Vilavella); as well as the role of teacher in the Central American Youth Orchestra since 2013.
