He carried out his musical studies at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Valencia, where in addition to obtaining the title of Higher Horn Professor, he obtained the Honor Prize unanimously in the Elementary Grade (1987), Honor Prize unanimously in the Middle Grade ( 1990), and Honorable Mention in the Higher Degree (1992).

He has worked as a professor at the Teruel Municipal Conservatory in the specialty of French Horn, at the same time that he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, with which he has made numerous tours throughout Spain, as well as recordings, both for record companies and for movie soundtracks.

He perfected his musical studies at the Versailles Higher Conservatory of Music, with Professor Daniel Bourgue (soloist of the Paris Opera Orchestra and the French National Orchestra), where he obtained First Prize with Congratulations in the Higher Degree and the First Prize with Congratulations (Gold Medal) in the Honor Degree.

He has been awarded at the International “Holger Fransman” Horn Competition held in Lieksa (Finland), playing as a concert pianist as a result of this competition with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Arvo Volmer. He has also been awarded at the Concorso Internazionale per Corno “Federico di Svevia” in Sannicandro di Bari (Italy).

He has collaborated with numerous Spanish symphony orchestras. From the 1993/94 season to the 1999/2000 season, he was a member of the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he has had the opportunity to play under the direction of numerous conductors and soloists of international prestige.

He is part of numerous chamber groups, such as the wind quintet “Ventus Quintet”, the brass quintet “Brass Pop Ensemble” and the horn and piano duo JARREGA-TELLECHEA, with which he recorded the CD with the complete French horn and piano by Franz Strauss.

 

It is worth highlighting the publication of the book “Technical and warm-up studies” by Manuel Járrega (Ed. Tot per l’aire), used in numerous Spanish conservatories. He usually teaches improvement courses and masterclasses throughout Spain.

 

Since 1999 he has been teaching at the “José Iturbi” Conservatory in Valencia, specializing in French Horn.
