MONICA RAGA

Solo flute of the R.T.V.E orchestra. Since 2000, he was born in Catarroja, Valencia, in 1973. He completed his musical training at the Superior Conservatory of Music of said city with Mª Dolores Tomás, obtaining the highest qualifications and ending with the "Extraordinary End of Career Award" and the "Mercedes Massí" for the best academic record. Later, with a scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Science, she furthered her studies with Françoise Veilhan at the Vernon Conservatory, Paris, concluding with the "Medaille d'Or avec felicitacions" unanimously.

In 1990 she was admitted to the J.O.N.D.E., where she attended for 3 years; She perfects her flute studies with teachers: Aurèle Nicolet, Ida Ribera, Jaques Zoon and Kate Hill. In 1997 she participated in the "Aspen Music Festival and School" (Colorado), proclaiming herself the winner of the "Wind Concerto Competition".

In 1993 she won by competitive examination the position of flute / piccolo in the "Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya" (O.B.C.), a position she occupied until 2000; Since then he has been carrying out intense activity in Chamber Music, participating in numerous groups of various characteristics, highlighting the group "Modus Novus", dedicated exclusively to contemporary music, which has led him to participate in various festivals and cycles of contemporary music, such as the "ARE MORE" in Vigo, the "ENSEMS" International Festival in Valencia, the Alicante International Festival, the Madrid Contemporary Music Festival (COMA), and the OSRTVE chamber music cycle, among others, as well. in the form of recitals with piano, in the cycles of the "Juan March" Foundation, Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, etc.

In his role as a concert pianist, he has performed with the "Young Artists Orchestra" (Colorado), the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the "Santa Cecilia" and "Concerto Grosso" Chamber Orchestras, the contemporary music group "Modus Novus", and with the R.T.V.E. Orchestra, performing in the best venues in Spain: Auditorio Nacional, Palau de la Música de Valencia, Palau de la Música de Barcelona, Teatre Principal de Castellò, etc.

Currently, she is regularly invited to teach courses at the Youth Orchestra of the Community of Madrid (JOCM), the Youth Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Youth Orchestra of Extremadura (OJEX), the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Castilla y León, and the orchestra "Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga", among others.
